At World of Maths, we take enormous pride in our workshops and pour a lot of love into over 150 hand-made activities.

Our approach is all about making sure learning is fun through real-life examples, by understanding instructions and applying problem-solving skills.

Hands-on activities have many benefits for students. And it’s not just about reinforcing maths concepts – our activities encourages participation, boosts confidence and sparks a love of learning. We cater for all abilities which drives positive thinking so that students feel rewarded through their achievements. There is no pressure to finish – as long as everyone ‘gives it a go’.

We encourage the students to work together, and engage as a team to discuss strategies to help them develop problem-solving skills so you can build confidence in your maths abilities.

Upper Year Levels will also discover spatial visualization, axis of symmetry, sequencing, average speed, grids, power transmission (to name a few).

Our Year 4-6 students got to experience a collaborative and thought-provoking mathematics incursion. World of Maths uses a hands-on approach, where students are encouraged to have-a-go at solving each scenario and enjoy learning mathematics while they work.

The students enjoyed the activities and they participated well. Soo Chen was fantastic. She explained the activities well and gave the students great strategies at the start of each session to help them solve each challenge and she also actively helped the students during the session. The debrief sessions were great also.

We were delighted to host the World of Maths at our school. This interactive incursion provided high levels of engagement in hands-on maths problems for all year levels from Pre-Primary to Year 6. It was wonderful to see all of our students participating confidently in problem solving, from simple to very demanding puzzles. The level of mathematical discussions between students was phenomenal as they confidently negotiated challenges together. We would highly recommend this incursion and would welcome Sascha back into our school happily.

The responses from the students was so positive. They were very eager to begin investigating the problem solving tasks and remained engaged for the entire hour. The tasks ranged in levels of difficulty which was great as it catered for differentiation and challenge where students found themselves in the learning pit and requiring ‘persistence’ to get out.

Our students were very engaged and enjoyed the activities. Sascha is also great at delivering the workshop. Once I get a better idea as to what is happening next year, I will be booking again.

The parent feedback was really positive. They were thrilled to see maths activities that didn’t involve electronics.
